Supergirl Day Three

Look! Day 3 of Supergirl week, which, by the way, ends on Friday. I call it a baker's week. So just one more, chums. Reeling from the disappointment of yesterday's Supergirl I tried something different for this one. I tried to go all Franklin Booth on the clouds back there. Not too successful but it's my first real effort in that direction.

Supergirl Day Two

This Supergirl was done in like twenty-something minutes at work. Her S shield is wonky and the legs are I don't know what but definitely could use some work but I gotta fly now so there.

Supergirl Day One

I've decided to do a week of Supergirls. Here is day one. Hopefully each day's Supergirl will be better than the last. This exercise is a based on Cory Walker's (see links to the right) weekly, re-designed Supergirl sketches which are all quite amazing. If I could only be just as half as good as Cory Walker I may stop cutting myself. At the very least I would stop joining Russian Roulette tournaments. "Di Di Mau!"

Acroyear

This is Acroyear of the Micronauts presenting the severed head of the evil Baron Karza. Unfortunately, he was presenting the severed head of the evil Baron Karza to the attendees of the annual Girl Scouts Conference, Weehauken NJ chapter. There was much wailing and the gnashing of teeth. Inking: I biffed his right arm. Was still trying to figure out an inking approach, I like most of the rest of it, especially those legs. Took a few hours to draw (then re-draw) then ink. Fairly happy.

Mighty Boosh

Did this last night. Likenesses are not my strong point but these two are from the show The Mighty Boosh. Vince Noir played by Noel Fielding and Howard Moon played by Julian Barratt. The Mighty Boosh is a completely crazy and surreal Brit show that has taken over my mind. I spent most of yesterday after work sketching these two guys with varying degrees of success. Here's another one:

Almost. Not quite. That one doesn't look anything like Howard Moon but I do like the face.
