My Favorite Mutants part 8: Marvel Girl (Rachel Grey-Summers)

Rachel Summers. Mostly because I loved the Alan Davis Excalibur back in the late 80's. She's one of Cyclops' alternate reality kids (he's has 3, that he knows of).

This was a quick one. Just over an hour to do. Wanted something posted before I go on vacation and away from the Wacom tablet and computer. Regular transmissions will resume in just over a week.

My Favorite Mutants part 7: Magik

Hot mutant demon babe with a Russian accent. Yeah. How could I not? but mostly because Arthur Adams drew her so well back in the day.
She can teleport through space and time. Like the Tardis. There's a story in that.

My Favorite Mutants part 6: Iceman

Mostly because of Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. Also, he's recently been written very well. This sketch took about an hour or so to do. It's okay.
Think he's a bit over done. Trying for a bit of the Moebius crystals with his look. Trying anyway.

My Favorite Mutants part 5: Madrox the Multiple Man

Because any character is a good character when done well. Peter David used the blank slate that was Jamie Madrox the Multiple Man and created character gold. Also developing his powers in new and interesting ways. Here's my quick-sketch take:
Did this in about 2 or so hours. Mostly like it.

My Favorite Mutants part 4: The Stepford Cuckoos

They prefer to be called Three-in-One, but that's lame. There were five once, but two died. They're the clones of Emma Frost. They're all powerful telepaths by themselves but together they become a super-telepath. Those creepy, sexy, untouchable girls that tormented you in high school.
They were created by Grant Morrison (and not the last Grant Morrison X-Men that'll appear on my faves list). Since his run on the X-Men I've lost track of these characters. I guess I like the concept, the idea, more than what I've read so far. They're those creepy telepathic Village of the Damned kids all grown'd up and on Facebook. What's cooler than that?

My Favorite Mutants part 3: Cyclops

Here he is:
I chose his first classic look just 'cause.
Gotta loves the Cyke. Who else has as many alternate universe kids running around in his backyard? He's just a badass. Favorite Cyclops quote (from Grant Morrison, who is, I believe, the architect of the Cyclops renaissance we're having right now): "Relax. I've survived more jet aircraft crashes than any other mutant. Insurance takes care of everything." So true. His life is a series of jet aircraft crashes. Just makes him tougher though. Plus! Takes a real man to be able to date a telepath. Much less two!

Cyclops abort

Been working on this for a bit. Now I hate it and will start over. Here are bits that don't look too bad though:

The Adventures of the young Han Solo

Did this sketch in class. Kinda like it. I want to do a young Solo and Lando con-men story. Here's my Solo:
