Frankensteins 3
These three guys are all different Frankenstein monsters who populate the DC Universe. The one with the sword is the "actual" Frankenstein (who has taken his creator's name for himself) newly updated by Grant Morrison to be a stalker of monsters and demons. The one holding the arm is Pvt. Lucky Taylor who spent WWII tearing Nazis to pieces with the Creature Commandos (monsters fighting Nazis in WWII - how cool is that!). He now features infrequently in some of the current Superman titles (thank you Geoff Johns). Lastly, the one with the doll is Gregori Arcane, aka the Patchwork Man. Father of Abby Holland who is Swamp Thing's common law wife (don't think the great State of Louisiana recognizes their union). Inking-wise, getting there. I may re-do this later as I really like these characters but feel the composition and finishes could be better. This was done about a week ago.

Zenith
This is Zenith. Brit superhero from the early 90s by Grant Morrison and Steve Yeowell. Bit of a brat. Great series though. You will find many Grant Morrison characters in the posts to come as he is one of my all time favorite people who exist. This pic was done about a week ago after way too much thought on what Zenith should be up to. Notice I've accidentally inked out a guitar strap. My mentor (who shall remain nameless unless he wants to advertise - he's a professional comic dude) said he likes this one, inking-wise, but the clouds are crap and I have to agree. Here I was being all gestural (lazy) and ended up with poop. Better next time.

Tekkonkinkreet Rocks!
These guys are Black and White from Tekkonkinkreet by Taiyo Matsumoto. I saw the anime last year and it blew me away. One of the greatest anime movies ever made! The manga it's based on is just as phenomenal. If you don't know it get to know it. At least Netflix the movie. Pure bliss. Happy happy.
Second Post! Spider-Woman
Spider-Woman! Done soon after I finished ROM. Again, in preparation to this my first art blog. As you can see, straight lines confuse and anger me. One day a device shall be made to facilitate the making of the straight line. And on that day I'll probably still not use it.
First Post! ROM!
Welcome to my art blog. This is ROM. He's shiny and the first of my inked pics. ROM the Spaceknight is a toy and a Marvel comic from back in the day. I later found that nearly all of my favorite comics from that time were written by Bill Mantlo. Specifically the Hulk, Micronauts, and ROM. This pic was done about a month ago to get a head start on the blog. I'm posting to both get some feedback as well as to force myself to practice my inking, hoping to improve. I plan on posting at least 2 pieces a week. Also, I've adjusted the contrast levels on these pics to make the blacks blacker.
